About MCDC and Our Bylaws

Our Club was chartered in October 2018. Our goal in forming the Marsh Creek Democratic Club was to create a space where we could provide volunteer opportunities for members of our community who share our values of Inclusion, Equity, Social Justice, Compassion, and Environmental Protection.

Our objectives are to:

  • Contribute to the growth and influence of the Democratic Party, by building and organizing capable and experienced leaders and volunteers.

  • Foster Democratic ideals by encouraging an active interest in the Democratic Party, contributing to party leadership, and providing constructive roles for volunteers in Democratic politics.

  • Publicize and support our Club endorsed candidates and causes.

  • Maintain an active presence in East Contra Costa County.

  • Partner with the Democratic Party of Contra Costa County (DPCCC) and the California Democratic Party (CADEM).

  • Maintain communication with our local city, county, and state representatives for the purpose of encouraging Democratic views and goals

  • Disseminate information from our elected representatives to our Club members.

Our volunteers achieve these objectives through:

  • Voter education

  • Get Out the Vote (GOTV) activities

  • Fundraising for our Club endorsed local candidates

  • Organizing the Club endorsement process for local candidates running for office

  • Recruiting and supporting local candidates

  • Supporting the Democratic Party platform

  • Hosting guest speakers that promote Democratic Party values

  • Maintaining relationships with local, county, and state Democratic Party leaders

  • Communicating with candidates and incumbents

  • Communicating with Club members on local, state, and national Issues

  • Community outreach

  • Social media engagement
